John Foreman is a 2019 Inductee
John was born and raised in the Grey Bruce Peninsula and moved to Bancroft in his early adulthood where he raised his family and developed a legendary career as an entertainer. He is considered as an entertainer extra-ordinaire because of his story telling, musical ability and artisan skills. A self taught individual, John began his early musical days playing a harmonica, now progressed to string instruments. John is also a skilled artisan with a broadaxe and adze and regularly puts on exhibits at heritage sites.
John displays a wide talent in bluegrass, folk, Celtic and Acadian music, still performing regularly in the Bancroft area and beyond. He operates a drop in musical show, bi-monthly in Bancroft. At 78, John shows no signs of letting up.
